    Hi Folks,

Unusual question, but I'm taking some secondary school students to Gambia this year, but some of them have Eastern European passports and require a visa. Does anyone have advice on where or how to get one? Rang the Gambian embassy in London but they weren't any help.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

EU nationals don't require a visa according to this,
it's from the Visit Gambia website, run by the Gambia Tourist Authority, which looks like an official website:

    "The Journey

    Entry Requirements

Citizens of the United Kingdom, full members of the European Union, the Commonwealth, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and other nations with a reciprocal visa abolition agreement with The Gambia do not require a visa to enter the country; whether on holiday or on a business trip not exceeding 90 days.

All other nationalities should possess a visa, which is available from any of the Gambian embassies and consulates: London, Paris, Washington DC, Brussels, Taipei, Rabat, Jeddah, Havana, Dakar, Lagos, Freetown and Guinea Bissau.

Note: tourists and others traveling on last minute bookings will be allowed entry but will be required to submit their passport to the Department of Immigration in Banjul within 48 hours to be issued a proper visa."

The Gambia seems like a really unusual place to bring a gang of schoolkids.
Good luck with it. How did you come up with The Gambia btw.

    Cheers for that,

We made a link with a nursery and a secondary school so we're bringing 10 students out there. We'll be teaching in the schools and hoping to bring out resources aswell. It should be a great trip for those involved.

    Thanks again
