Hi. My dads iMac was running a tad slow recently so I did a repair disk permissions to try sort it out. I did this on screen share through iChat and when I terminated the call he rang me and told me the iMac had frozen. No access to apple menu to force quit anything. So he had to power it down. When he tried to power up the login screen comes up but his keyboard our mouse are not responding. I'm thinking the disk permissions repair has wiped the Bluetooth pairings but he says a USB keyboard won't work either. I have to call out to him in the morning now. Any suggestions for things to try? Thanks in advance.

    Ps. Running Lion.

Crisis averted. He was only pressing the power button putting the screen to sleep. Not holding it long enough to power down!
