Are you self barred from pubs, particular streets, shops etc?

Have any of you been self barred from the aforementioned in order to avoid people you do not want to bump into?

Spawning from the 'girlfriends ex causing problems' thread, I'm self barred from a pub in the local area to avoid a past ex. Was speaking to another mate who is also self barred from another pub up the road in the same area. Soon we'll run out of pubs :)

Also, we avoid walking down certain streets in case we bump into past acquaintances. So are the faithful of AH self barred from certain establishments\streets, is it that bad among us?

I go wherever I like and I wouldn't let someone put me off places I want to go.

I haven't gone to the local nightclub (yes...THE nightclub...we have one)in my town since my debs, which was in 2002. It's not because of certain people, just because it's shít.

I try not to go to another pub in the town, which is actually not a bad place and the owners are really nice, it's just that the people in it wreck my head with the shít they talk about. I still go to it every so often, but only if my mates are there, never out of choice.

I enjoy my local watering hole. The staff are great, the owners are friendly and the people who drink there are civil and don't wreck my head, plus they show the rugby and football at the weekend.

Hey :) You know the scenario, you never want to see a face who frequents a particular street\pub again and in order to avoid difficulties you keep yourself away? Come on, it must have happened! :)

Ah yeah, I get you. I live in a pretty small place these days where everyone knows everyone. It's impossible to avoid certain people so I just got really good at ignoring them :p

A certain bar beside a cinema on Parnell Street, was going for a few beers with m8s and one of those a-hole bouncers wouldn't let me in for wearing tracksuit bottoms mid day (never mind I got past the "door bouncers"), I don't mind at night, fair enough but this was at 2 in the afternoon. Never returned, obviously they don't need my business and yes there were plenty of oppertunities I could have gone back but just didn't. I totally boycott of the establishment now! :pac:

OP if you have your own social group, you will end up with them wherever that takes you. You might want to avoid other persons or groups for a while so you can make sure they know their place in your social circle but unless your the leader your going where everyone else is going.

Was in Tenerife and when ever we went out clubbing and we were constantly offered free drinks to go into one of the sex clubs by the many touts, you can hardly walk down the street without someone offering a free drink to entice you you to their club, some clubs yeah you might party in but others were highly questionable and obviously housed some form of prostitution.

I self barred myself from those types of clubs period. It was a no time for me. Not a first or a last time it just wasn't going to happen.

Yeah I'm self barred from my family's local.

My bf used to work there before he went to Oz... so it's a sad memories eviction for me, I never enjoy nights in there anymore

I'm self-barred from barring myself from the local bar because I'm selfless.

I don't go to a certain cafe/bar where I used to work. Basically stormed out in anger the last time I was there. Didn't even go back to collect my tips.

Also, it's out in the bog arse of nowhere so it's not the sort of hang out for a hip urbanite like myself.
