    Liam Neeson
    Patrick Stewart
    Alan Davies

Good line-up as usual. Turn over if the Late Late should somehow possibly get boring

Liam is a dull guest it must be said. Doesn't do the shmoozing well.

Patrick Stewart is always good on this type of chat show, well up for a laugh, good anecdotes and self deprecating. He did the ultimate face palm too, double handed.
Neeson was good too, and Davies had a few moments. Professional singing ginger Ed Sheeran gingered about a bit.
    Good show all n all

Thought Neeson was quite dull and I was looking forward to him. Nothing very cool about sitting there and not contributing much on a chat show. Looked great though. Stewart was good, never seems to take himself too seriously. Double face palm was great. I like Alan Davies on QI and he was much the same on Norton. Overall a fairly muted show i thought. I'm normally laughing my ass off for most of Nortons shows.

I don't watch Nortons show as a rule but last week I saw about 15 mins. Kenneth Brannagh, Zach Braff and a comic so there seems to be a forumla - anecdote packed luvvie actor, imported actor flogging product and local funnyish fella. Plus a music guest.

Rare to see an all male line up, even Chris Moyles Quiz show had only guys.

Why have such a rule ? You're fairly spot on with your formula but guess what it usually works. More laughs on one Norton show than a dozen Late Lates. It's light hearted entertainment. No dead baby/cancer stories to misery up your friday night. Not saying an A-list guest is necessarily entertaining but it beats the hell out of the usual RTE canteen guests DLB has on.

I agree there is a lot to be said for 40-50 mins of quick, light entertainment, all depends on the guests though. The LLS just feels like a march through a boggy field by comparison.

Stewart was good....but nowhere near as funny as the night he turned up pissed on Letterman and talked non-stop about the Irish soccer team. (think it was during the US World Cup).
But ffs better than Foster and Allen or whatever was on the other side.

Fair enough. One mans fish is another mans poison, Be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.

Just in general I think the Graham Norton Show is a far more entertaining show that the LLS. Can't see why anyone would watch it (the LLS) just to be able to bitch about it on the internet when they could watch a potentially (and usually) funny 40 mins on another channel. Each to their own......

I think he is on the wagon these days, another actor that has an on off fight with the drink.
