    Hi all,

Has anybody got this phone? I can get it for €309 from Amazon.co.uk.

I want to get a sim free smart phone without going mental on price.
Can you recommend these phones and also, would they be better than the HTC Desire S?

    Thanks

For that price, scout out a Galaxy S2 on adverts, woudlnt be too much more, far far better phone, the S Plus is effectively a Galaxy S, a phone that launched 18 months ago, €309 is too much for that IMHO

I'd be worried about warranty etc. Thats why I wouldn't buy secondhand

Always a worry I guess, personally wouldnt worry about it but each to their own. However, even as a brand new phone, i still think thats too much. Look at the SE Xperia Play, that can be got for about €200, has as good specs as the S Plus, and unlike the S Plus, will be getting an Ice Cream Sandwich update.

Personally I just wouldnt get the S Plus new at this stage, for that money. If I were you, I'd look around for maybe a new Nexus S or stumpt up the extra for a new S2. The Nexus S is effectively a Galaxy S with camera flash and has already got the ICS update.

German Amazon are a bit cheaper than Amazon UK for the S2, and they have no trouble shipping here, i know it would be an extra €100 but its that much of a better phone, anyone around here will tell you that

I'm going upgrading my Desire and thought about getting one of these too but ICS will not be rolled out on them so I'm going to get the Nexus. Carphone Warehouse is giving €110 for the Desire so it can get got for €370

Your going paying €370 for a Nexus S? There going for around €200 on Adverts, unless you mean the Galaxy Nexus thats crazy to spend on a phone thats over a year old.

That link just shows all the phones listed on carphone warehouse, its this phone. Seen one go for 180e on adverts a few days ago but there generally being sold between 200 and 230.

If you wanted it new Carphone Warehouse in the UK where selling them for £199.95, not sure if they still are though.
