I have 02 mobile broadband at home, which I connect to the laptop to use.
Is it possible to have my phone connected to this ?

If the connection is through a small mobile router (Hotshot, MeFi etc.) then the phone can connect by Wifi. If it's a USB dongle that connects physically to the computer, you may be able to share the connection through the laptop over Wifi depending on setup. Connectify is software I used before for something similar but it required Windows 7 and didn't support all hardware. There may also be a way to do it built into Windows.

I did this only once before and it was for another laptop to connect so results could vary wildly.

If you are running Windows 7, try going to Network and Sharing Centre > Change Adapter Settings. If there is an icon for the dongle connection, double click on it to bring up the properties and select the Sharing tab at top. Tick the main box there and select the Wifi network. This should make the laptop itself act like a router and allow other devices to connect to it and use the dongle connection.

Since this will most likely show up as an ad-hoc wifi network, some devices (such as phones) might not show it. I didn't test it with a phone when I did it before.
