Ok tried all connotations but cannot get sound

I have a Samsung LE40B530 which I use for PS games and have hooked up Desktop to it. PS3 is hooked up with hdmi and no problem with sound etc

There is no HDMI outlet on the Desktop. Below I have pics of the sockets on the back of the TV and the back of my Desktop. Also the cables I am using. The picture is ok but just cannot get sound?

I am connecting the red and white to the Audio out on TV and then to the green audio on the PC and no sound. Tried then component and then Audio AV in and still no sound

    Anyone got any suggestions ?

    Thanks

Is the PC/DVI audio input a simple 3.5mm audio port, if so a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm aux cable should do! I'd say the reason the sound isn't being played through component/composite is because you are on a different source, i.e: VGA/PC

Your connecting the red.and white connectors to.AUDIO OUT on the TV...
Thats for your TV to an amplifier.

    Is there an audio in??

Yes its the standard audio port. Is this the wrong cable I am using? When you say different source what do you mean? Have the Source selected as PC on the TV?

The audio in is that in the third picture on side of tv other than that only component in?

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks

The audio is connected to the component in ports.
You need a 3.5 to 3.5 lead and connect it to dvi audio in
