Maybe a Dumb question but here goes:confused:

I have a UPC recordable box downstairs and I rang UPC and to get Multiroom you need another box and its another €5 per month

Is there a booster or some sort that I can use so if the box is on downstairs on channel x I can view this upstairs? I have an UPC point in another room but don't want to run the cable from there.

Can it be done and if not are there other options?

    Thanks

it sounds like youre looking for something like this
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/audio-video-sender-kit-2727-44469

i think maplins have a 14 day return policy (in their stores) so you could maybe try it out and return it if it doesnt do the job

That could be it so If I want to watch footie and Miss Gunner wants to watch a soap that is on a terrestrial tv channel then I could hook this up to upc box and Miss Gunner can watch Soap on the terrestrial tv channels

Is this possible or do we need an Saorview aerial(rabbits ears)

    Thanks

that sender will only work if theres 2 scarts in the decoder or else take the scart from the tv out and put in the sender when going to bed, its a lot of hassle, Id get the 5e box instead for the room.

the multiroom box will have to be wired in -it comes with a seperate card so you can watch Arsenal getting beat on a regular basis up in your room while the missus can watch and record the various comings and goings on the Yorkshire Dales or Corporation Street- word of warning -Arsenal are terrible since losing Cesc Fiberglas ..no seriously you cannot record on the multiroom and if ya just wanted to watch the same programme in a different room ??? you can get a booster pack from powercity that will work without having to wire it up

If I'm correct,The 2.4GHz ones are to be avoided??

I think they suffer badly with interference from microwaves, cordless dect phones,,and wi-fi?

I'm open to correction on this though..
