Hey Mary21 your best to contact the course leader. Think its Angelo Hurley. I was going to do it but the year I was it was only after starting up so there was just three people. I ended up transferring. As regards to hours, no one can really say not even the lecturers. As believe me the timetable will change a lot!! The timetable you are given in September will most likely def change! I loved my time in WIT though and plenty of mature students around!
    Best of luck with it!!

Hurley isn't the course leader anymore. If the op needs the Course Leader's number PM me. It's around 16 hours a week and of the first years last year I think 4 or 5 of them were mature out of 15. Seemed like a nice crowd.

I completed the 1st year of this course and then transferred to a business course. It's a good course some of the assignments I found very hard. There was 3 mature students in my class starting off and one dropped out after christmas. One or two of the classes are mixed with other courses usually the language ones. Hours pretty much the same as most course 9-5 or 10-4 (with a few breaks and half day on Fridays.

Well I wasn't sure what I was wanting to do after my leaving and Tourism was the only thing I had an interest in at the time. I didn't really enjoy the course and at the time didn't really see myself working or getting a job in the industry. I enjoyed the language classes and accounting + marketing so decided Business course was for me. Yes I transferred into the second year of BA Business studies Another girl got transferred into the second year of Marketing Course. Intro to Tourism, management and Accounting I found the hardest but Accounting was grand as long as you don't miss any class because it is very hard to pick up if you have never done it before. Most people find learning a new language hard but most of the lecturers are helpful.

What are the choice of languages on this course, I'm looking at doing this as mature student & was wondering what language choices are & will be totally new to learning a language ?
