Can't uninstall meteor modem software

Was trying to sort out a virus on the uncle's computer the last day. Locked down all programs while trying to sell anti-virus, he had none installed. I used system restore in safe mode to sort it but the software for the meteor broadband dongle isn't working anymore. Tried to uninstall it and reinstall but the program won't uninstall. Been getting this error: "CreateLogFile CreateFile failed". Any idea what this could be and how to solve it or could you point me in the direction of a site that might help.

    Any help is appreciated.

Anyone any idea about this, Dell said they'd sort it but have to pay €109 which isn't really affordable atm.

No idea you'll find general instructions, but if you deleted the applications registry entries, files in program files and then use the likes of CCleaner to remove the uninstall link manually you may be able to force it to re install,

try revo uninstaller to remove the meteor software.
but first i'd do a malware scan,

run tdsskiller first to see if any rottkits are present, then run malwarebytes, then superantispyware. then try uninstall metoer software the conventional way, if that fails then go ahead and use revo uninstaller.
