    I heard the saying :
" Getting older is coming to terms with your impending death"

I take this as like becoming a man/women is being able to accept your own death, whatever age that may be at for different individuals.
I understand alot of people say that they never accept the fact that they are going to die eventually, but they must have some fleeting thought no matter how much they suppress them.
    Any thoughts on this saying?

Maybe it is an observation that as we get closer towards death, as we age, we must eventually, and fatally, accept it. That 'age' is symptomatic of our relationship with death. And we are mature once we accept it.

Just a possible meaning, I'm sure many people see different meanings in it.
