    As one of the many greedy bastards under your 'leadership' who is responsible for the current mess your fine government finds itself in, I want to let you know how much I appreciate your governments interfering with;

    - my alcoholism by your pioneering and creative regulation of the 'market'. Its good that you learnt something from the lack of financial market regulation and decided to bring your wealth of knowledge to bear on my glass of wine on a saturday evening.

    - my internet copyright violations. A mere year or so after the Arab Spring Revolutions facilitated by the net, it's about time western governments cracked down on this most democratic of media. Well done for jumping on the bandwagon!

    - my future financial wellbeing. A while back you raided my pension to create jobs (hows that going by the way???), and this week you continued to bravely face down Irish taxpayers so we can pay our debts. When I say 'our' I do of course mean the dead bank that was 'Anglo'.

    - the death trap that is irelands roads. By throwing yet more millions at this, and under Uncle Gaybos stewardship and with more points for misdemeanours like a broken light I am positive we can bring the death toll on our roads to a quarter of that from suicide. A proud achievement and one you can take pride in, while continuing to ignore your greedy bastard citizens who are desperate enough to take their own life.

    When you get back from Davos you might consider prioritising a few things however;

    - some whistleblower legislation would not go astray

    - an update to white collar crime legislation would be helpful as well so that if some banker screws the country in the future there is at least a chance that they face some consequences(yes I do realise the current predicament is entirely greedy citizens fault)

    - some reform of the civil service so that if (big if!!) say a regulator or a senior person in the dept of finance ****s things up entirely they are neither retired with a golden handshake or promoted off to a tax free handy number in Europe. The concept is called 'accountability'

    - while I am on the subject of big words and unusual concepts some level of 'transparency' in our permanent government would be appreciated. No doubt these are both covered in the Croke Park Agreement. Except that agreement is not umm, transparent.

    Thanks Enda - and once again, apologies for being a greedy bastard of a citizen, I take entire responsibility for the mess you find yourself in. It must be really embarrassing for you in Davos. Sorry.

    I believe his email is enda.kenny@oireachtas.ie (or taoiseach@taoiseach.gov.ie). I don't believe you'll reach him here.

    There's a few different discussions running on this, surely you could have joined in or were you just looking for your own box to stand on?

    I fail to see how any party that wasn't even in power, was responsible. This was the fault of the people who excessively borrowed, the previous governments who couldn't give a rats ass about the problem, the banks who acted the same way and the regulators who turned a blind eye to everything.

    He spoke the truth. He didn't phrase it correctly. It was an Enda moment. Jesus, its hardly a big deal and makes sweet F all of a difference now. Get over it.

    You would swear that Enda Kenny was wearing around a Brian Cowen costume previously the way some people link the actions of FF to the current Government.

    I'm sure there's a conspiracy theory or similar fueling all of it. The Enda Kenny a.k.a Brian Cowen a.k.a Bertie Ahern a.k.a JFK is not actually dead and is currently ruling Ireland with an iron fist theory...or something.

    Voting is not the only option to make choices, economic decisions to have and invest in pensions are choices made on a daily basic. FG/Lab had also made immodest spending proposals during the boom and have help create the bloated governmental system that has cause the budget imbalance. My own regret is I spend some money on a pension which the current Government has decided to levy, instead of spending madly at the time - so I could "get a grip of themselves" as per Minster Hogan for overreacting to the Davros speech where yet again Mr Kenny tries to make himself popular with the audience .

    Irish folk tend to be far too thin-skinned, love to be outraged and a sense of entitlement or victimhood tends to overshadow any salient points made on problems here.

    It is so obvious what Enda Kenny meant. Of course, people who went out of their depth in silly levels of debt are part of the problem. Nobody held a gun to their head and told them to borrow more and more.

    I know someone who works an advisor to people who are to make arrangements in settling debt to their lenders/banks. He tells me the count is massive of averagely incomed people who refuse to give up the second OTT car (or even replace it with a budget-priced car), give up the nannies, housekeepers, the boat or the timeshare.

    At the end of the day, the borrower should be accountable for their own actions.

    Stop voting for parties starting with F folks.... :)

    The only thing that separates them is a 100 year old disagreement of how to word a treaty.

    There are other options.

    I can understand the frustration and anger out there, but this forum is not for ranting nor are we a Blog Post platform.

    Cheers
