    Hey all,
I am with vodafone though not my issue.
When I ring a number on my phone the screen then goes blank. This is fine if Im just talking. However if I need to use the keypad or put phone on speaker I cant. The whole phone just goes blank even though I can still hear and speak with the call.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

Sounds like an issue with the proximity sensor.

It should disable the screen when you bring it to your face and re-enable when moved away automatically.
Make sure its not blocked by dirt, dust or blowing into the speaker area can clear it up.

There is an app from the Market you can download that tests all the sensors on your phone called AndroSensor.
See if the sensor value changes from its initial value (1-3in) to 0in when you move your hand over the top of the phone.

Thanks for that. I downloaded the app and yes you are right about the change. A red light also appears at the top of the phone. So basically I need to keep my head or hand away from this if I want to use the keypad when on a call.
