    Pieces : 1332
    Ages : 16+
    Bought from : shop.lego.com
    Price : €99.99

After rediscovering my love of Lego that i had as a child i wanted to get a set that was challenging, fun and worthwhile to place on my shelf when i finished. The VW Camper Van is one of the best sets ive built. At just over 1300 pieces it is a challenge and time consuming to build (just over 4 hours solo) but the end reward is worth the effort. Stunning detailing on the interior with the fantastic chequered flooring, movable table and seats and some great exterior details especially on the front. The roof was tricky to construct but the retractable roof is a great addition and the window detailing with curtains is incredible.

Unfortunately i was left short one piece on the roofing but this didnt ruin the experience of building this set. I think this is a fantastic Lego recreation of one of the most iconic motor vans in motoring history.

    PROS
    - Hard to find item in the shops
    - Fantastic detailing of interior and exterior
    - At over 30cms it is large and rewarding upon completion
    - Great value for money for what you get
    - Great for showing off or playing with
    - Everything opens or pops up!

    CONS
    - One piece left short for me but doesnt affect the overall look

I assume you've found this already, but order your replacement part here:

    http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/replacementparts/default.aspx

They have a really good customer services team, they should sort you out fairly quickly.

It is a really nice set.

Got this for Christmas and it's sitting proudly on a shelf in the sitting room.

Very, very, tempted by the Beetle set that was released before it but it only seems to be available on eBay for silly money.
