New Job - Advice needed on getting back up to speed with my Accountancy

    Hi all

I am a chartered accountant who has been working in tax for over 4 years. I did my final ACA exams almost 2.5 years ago now but have never really worked in any accountancy related area.

Thing is, I am starting a new job in a month in an Group Op Finance in the compensation op team as a controller to ensure that controls and processes are in place to enable the accurate accounting of equity compensation awards.

So I need to get back up to speed pronto. My notes from my exams are long gone. I will ensure I learn the relevant IFRS/IASs also, but can anyone give me some advice on how best to get back up to speed and what else would be most relevant for this type of job and good resources to use.

Much appreciated if anyone can help!!
