Lower quality than DVD downloads, and there price is still in the same range as DVDs in HMV. Not the best start imho, and there appears to be no HD download option from my quick look at it, which is a big shame.

Yeah.. apart from a couple of Irish exclusives, it ain't gonna hurt Netflix in the slightest.

It has plenty of titles which are on both VOLTA and Netflix and €3.99 for a single movie for 48 hours vs €6.99 for a month.

Tough to see the pull in it!

All of these services are a further nail in the coffin of Xtravision. I hope their staff can all find jobs

For the really serious indie film buff maybe but for most people its to little, to late and way to expensive.

Yeah, for hard to find indie stuff I rent from Laser in Ranelagh where I live, for other viewing and to save money I use Netflix. It would probably be good for people who don't live near good video stores like Laser, though price should be about 2.50 - 3 per "rental" max if they want to make a go of it.

I just arrived back from Xtravision, after leaving back two DVDs for my wife. God it's so antiquated. Netflix is the way forward really
