Found out my ex is engaged

I found out that my ex is engaged. He walked out on myself and our children several years leaving us homeless. One of the children has serious health issues.

He treated me absolutely horribly after I had the 2nd child. I was suffering from PND so I put up with it and worse. He would not even kiss me yet would be having it off with other women while I was at home with a very sick little child.

I'm devastated that he is engaged, that he obviously must treat this women very well and worship her yet he treated me appallingly and still plays with my head when it suits him. She appears to have been around before our break up.

I'm not in a situation where I can move on, in fact he left me in a hopeless situation and he does not pull his weight with the kids.

    :-(

    You poor thing...

You need to try and remind yourself why you are better off without him, rather than focusing on how unfairly he has acted. Is there anyone you can talk to to help you see things a bit clearer?

Also why and how is he still playing with your mind? Can this be stopped? Do you have to communicate with him because of your kids? Or this a choice on your part? BEcause if it is, its very damaging to your self esteem. Don't let this man hurt you any more than he has done. Cut all ties if you can.
Focus on yourself and your children - try and forget about him. Also - be safe in the knowledge that he may treat this new woman like a queen now, but what happens when things get rough with her? He will go and cheat on her and treat her like sh1t just like he did with you. You are well rid.

You and Your kids deserve better and you need to remember that - don't mourn the loss of something that wasn't worth having in the first place.

People don't change that much imho.. if he was a bastard to you, then you can be damn sure he's the same man with her.. maybe he has broken her spirit just as much as he seemed to yours.. A leopard doesn't change it's spots and all that..

Maybe not even now, but in time his mask will slip..

Have you thought of any sort of counselling for yourself? You don't sound happy at all..

You need to think of Number 1 now!!
