Not having trouble getting my Galaxy sii to pair with my Plantronics, but it doesn't STAY connected. I can connect the headset, make a phone call and use the headset...works great! Two mins later, the phone will ring, and the headset isn't connected any more

Anyone else have this issue & possible fix

Ok just stock rom. It should work... Are you unpairing it? I just turn off bluetooth on phone to disconnect mine. It reconnects automatically when I turn bt on and press any button on the headset.

There is a headset button on the phone screen, are you using that?

Hi Cubix, I have a SGS2 and a Planatronics voyager pro, and it works great as long as the WLAN is disabled on the phone; it interferes badly with the bluetooth. Try paring and making a call with WiFi switched off.

Srsly78: if you mean at the end of a day I do nothing, with regards to the unit diconnecting it will just do it after approx 60sec if there is not a call in progress.

Zirconia: Yeah I had read that somewhere else but more so to do with headset sound quality.

After a bit of messing around I may have found the reason but not fully sure why. I also have a nokia handsfree kit in the van but bought the headset due to so much background noise when driving. I would be in and out of the van a lot during the day and each time you start up the van the kit would try and connect which i denied. Some where along the line this messed with the phone/headset even though the only headset paired with the samsung was the Planatronics. I disconnected the nokia kit today and all seemed well, planatronics would stay connected.

At some point during the day I got back into the van ( I never take the headset with me just the phone) I either tried to manually reconnect the headset to make a call or took a call while it was automatically reconnecting and I heard in my ear from the earpiece" phone2 connected" and then it disconnected itself.

So somewhere along the line the planatronics thought it was a second device and this is where the trouble starts. So I am going to delete it from the phone, re- pair it with the samsung and make sure it says "phone 1 connected" and try not to manual connect anymore.
