Ford s max automatic

    First time poster looking for some advice please?

    Am in car Trade good while but have a problem with a ford s max that no one can fix or wants to try and fix without charging a fortune....

    It's a 2007 s max 2.0 diesel 130ps automatic with 140km . When car is under hard acceleration and changing from 3rd to 4th gear it goes from 3rd to neutral with a bang.. If you let go accelarator and press it again gently it will change up no problem. With a light foot you would never know there is a problem.

    Ford suggested it was a software issue and reset it on their computer but it made no difference..

    I have had the pleasure in the past of getting several auto boxes reconditioned including an Audi multi tronic so I am well used to big bills! Never heard of s max box giving trouble before so was hoping for some advice before shelling out a fortune!

    Sounds like a gearbox issue. Have you asked any auto box repairers for their opinion?

    Pat did my Audi box and a golf for me in the past and did great job.

    Will probably end up getting him to do this but was just hoping to hear if anyone else had similar problem themselves.
