    Hi!

Not sure if this is the right place for posting this, but here goes! I am just wordering if it is possible to slowly magnetise those magnetic locks that you see outside apartment buildings and the likes. Usually they are just in an on (magnetised) state, until you press the button in the hall and the door releases.

Basically I am thinking about using these electromagnets for a different application that requires a slow magnetisation (over say 1 second). Is this possible? Is is as simple as regulating the current in? If anyone has any advice, i'd appreciate hearing from you!

    Cheers!
    Decbrad
