cable needed to watch films on tv from computer

Hi just wanted to know whats the name of the cable needed to go from the computer to the tv to play films . And where in the computer do i plug it in ? Thanks in advance not very good with this stuff

If your computer has a DVI port you can get DVI->HDMI cables, you'll need to use the laptop speakers or get an external set for the sound output!

The cable you need depends on the outputs and inputs available on your computer and TV.

Google HDMI, VGA(DSUB), DVI if you don't know what they look like. They should be labelled anyway. Just post back with all the ports on both and i'll see what the best connection option is.
