Is there any difference between the term Gross earnings and basic earnings.
My first contract in work has a clause that says i am entitled to 5 % of my gross earnings if my contract was terminated, but this word was changed to basic earnings for my second contract.

It seems that they mean the same thing as far as i can see but why would you change the wording if this was the case.

I did see an article somewhere on the internet saying that your gross earnings was inclusive of overtime etc.

    Anyone know definitively

Gross would include overtime pay and bonus plus any other cash perks.

Basic would be just that. Your basic yearly wage.

No. Mileage is a reclaimable expense, not an earning.
