what do i set cylinder termostat at?

    so just installed heating controls 2no. 2port values, room stat and wrap around cylinder stat .1no valve for rads and 1no for hot water coil.so what do i set the cylinder stat at and is it best at the bottom middle or top of tank? thanks.

    1/3rd way up from the bottom set at 60o.

    It depends on how much hot water and at what temp you want it.

    I keep mine at 65 as we have lime in the water. Lime seperates from the water at temps over 70 degrees C.

    thanks for replys one last question I had to drain the system to fit valves when I topped it back up all rads working well apart from one which is just heating at the top not bottom it is the biggest rad in house and prob furthest from the boiler.I know it air but any advise on getting it out as it at the bottom of the rad. Thanks again.

    More than likely the return is airlocked , try shutting off all ther rads and let the heat concentrate on that rad alone , also if you have a balancing valve on the coil , make sure its only open a crack , when the rad starts heating leave it for an hour before you reopen the others , if this doesnt work you may need to disconnect the pipe from the rad and pull the airlock through.
