    as the title says

    The observation,

E1.25Bn paid to unsecured Anglo Bondholders today, so to distract the plebs and have something else for the evening news Ivor Calley has been arrested in relation ot telephone Fraud charges dating from 2010, coincidence you might say, but, its not thefirst time they've used this tactic before, remember they 'arrested' Sean fitzpatrick the day of the Budget.

    the Theory,

someone in the Government Spin Machine is directing the Gardai to make these arrests occur at opportune moments to distract us the Public.

therefore the Gardai are not an independent force but puppets forced to dance to whatever tune their paymasters decree.

Well the spindoctors should ask for their money back from the gardai, Anglo are still the top story. If it was me I would have bribed the press too but I guess Irish spindoctors are a bit slow on the uptake.

But Ivor Callely is a FF member.

Why would a FG\Labour coalition spin themselves out of the opportunity to kick the opposition when its down

its not the kicking, its the timing of the kick.

Government's using spin to make themselves look better and distract from bad news....seriously, this has been going on since the dawn of civilisation. This is probably the oldest trick in the book and even the dogs in the street know about it. The ancient Greeks and Romans were notorious for political spin and the use of spin doctors.

Yeah but the issue isn't the spin, that's to be expected.
Its the use of the gardai as a tool of the spindoctors that I have an issue with, there should be a seperation of powers and a degree of independence between the gardai and the government, however these stunts show that someone is pulling the strings
