Please be a little clearer, is the burner locking out (reset illuminating), or are you talking about the hi-stat reset ??

Difficult to pin point a fault when its been running over an hour, when was it last serviced ?

well it wouldnt fire up at all over a month ago, and the fuel pump was seized on it so that was replaceed and serviceed, evrything is fine on it and except for wont fire up again when supposed to, i wonder is it the motor or controll box, and if they were replaced would it be as cheap to get a new burner altogether, and few people in the estate said that they have had problems with there burners over the years, the boiler is only 6 years old

It may not necessarily be the burner at fault, what boiler do you have?

    its a grant 90/120

everything on the boiler is sound, clean inside, baffles perfect emmision are sound and air intake is also good, i just cant figure this 1 out

A faulty thermostat unit in the boiler perhaps? I've had one that appeared to work fine but wasn't reliable.

If your sure it's not flue gases resurculating then i would tend to agree on it being a possible motor or control box, is it worth the replacement on a old G5.

i will have to investigate it more 2morrow, i mite take a controll box of another burner to check that out

If you can get hold of one then thats the way to go.

    I wouldn'd be paying 300/350 for a new burner. ;)

ya i can get hold of 1 no problem, and dont mind paying the money for a new burner either, and a mate is great at sourcing objects on the cheap so will give him a bell in the morning

    Hi,
I have a Potteron Suprima 60. At the moment it is not firing up.
The red light is flashing, when i press the reset button it usually comes on.
Then another time I turn it on as it fires up straight away.
Any ideas what could be the problem???
