How to make a CD in Ireland?

    I need to produce a relaxation cd with background music - can anyone point me in the right direction? where can i get it done, what costs to expect, how many to start off with, any other advice? Based near Dublin. Thank you!

    Recording your voice: Two options here:
    You could buy the equipment and sofware and do it yourself or you could rent a day in a studio and have them do it for you.

    Relaxation music: Will this be original music? Who will you be performing it? Do you have it sourced already?

    Once you get your music and voice recorded. You have the option to master this to optimizie the sound played on whatever audio player the CD is in.

    Then you get this master replicated in one of the many companies doing so in Ireland at the moment. Some of these also provide services such as sleeve printing also.

    All depends on what you want and your budget. There are different strategies to attain it.

    Didn't realise I was too vague - I guess really I'm looking to use a studio who will produce it professionally for me but on as low a budget as possible! I have no idea of background music to use and would need them to match it. If all goes well I would like to produce other similar products in future. I'd prefer to have cd sleeve done for me too...
    Any recommendations in the greater Dublin area or anyone want to promote themselves to me?

    I've had no personal experience with Dublin studios but I think you've come to the right place for answers to your question.

    Hopefully Keif can help you out and drum up a bit of business at the same time :)

    Here is a list of companies that will produce a cd for you along with sorting the packaging, only trend offer studio time on the premises as well as CD Pressing or CDr Duplication. Most of the other will need you to use an independent studio but will point you in the right direction.
    Trend Studios, Specialist AV, Crystal Media, Oxwood, Axis PPM, All Write Media, Music Matters, Eist, sure I am forgetting a few.
