    Is this true? What was the last bond date(s) and what were the big distraction stories the press led with? Genuinely interested rather than nitpicking.

    yep.. the government last payed an unguarenteed bond on 2nd November last of €715 million, to Anglo bondholders of course... the same day McAteer was arrested but later released without charge.... story here
