Peter Wyngarde. This guy was the inspiration for Austin Powers style. He was a big star in 1970 and then released a self-titled album later called "When Sex Leers Its Inquisitive Head".

On it was a track called 'Rape' - absolutely astounding how much bad taste and racism he gets into this one track. Listen to it here

The album was withdrawn weeks after its release.

    FYI -

    *Facepalm*

    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Rape
Rape - rape - rape, rape, rape!
    Rape - rape, rape, rape!
It's utterly amazing how many different kinds of rape there are!

    There's Italian Rape
Uno, due, tres, quatro, cinque, quante Lira.
Look into my eye-a-balls, you will see the fire!
How much Lira have you got-a ? Only a quarter?
Oh Madonna, you didn't oughta - for that I'll have your daughter !

    Japanese Rape, of course!
American Rape is full of hate and we're told, practically every minute of the hour.
And the way we're going we'll never be late,
Except for that date, with impatient Black Power!
Beginnings of Chinese Rape - endless!

One does need time, as any Englishman will explain,
If only to apologise for the agonising convenience caused
    To Mother Nature's forbidden walls!
In France of course, where fun is greedy,
The women are a little more seedy.
And rape is hardly ever necessary.
So even if the Franc is down, la plume de ma tante is always up and around!

In Germany it isn't always remembered,
What with Liszt, Wagner and Tannhauser,
The rape is synonymous with whips, bunkers and Mauser.
Which makes it all comparatively kinky -
With gas thrown in to get rid of the stinky!

In Russia it's far too cold for anything so bold!
And being notoriously political (if a trifle hypocritical)
    Rape becomes piratical,
    And Czechoslovakia far more suitable!
Which makes the whole thing rather nasty, tasteless and hasty.
But as Jason King would say, it depends so much on what you fancy!

He should have called the song Fire! People ignore it when you shout out "Rape".

Was it the song that inspired the protest 'Rap Against Rape' ditty?

Actually I think the lyrics I most want to hear are to 'Hippie and the Skinhead' from the same album

No, but Gerry Ryan was listening to 'Rape' on full volume when he wrote "Drugs ain't the answer!"

Hey looks they wrote a song after me!

I meant to put that shocked emoticon elsewhere in the post to be honest.

You need to listen to the song though, not just read the lyrics. The accents and the Japanese bits are priceless.

Lol. 1970 huh? Hard to find seventies stuff that wasn't bad. Also kinda funny how you say how utterly reprehensible his stuff is and then provide us with the link so we can delight in it. :p
Another thing: 'and then released a self-titled album later called "When Sex Leers Its Inquisitive Head'. That's an awful long name. What's his first name?- or is it in there.
This thing kinda reminds me (though there's no relation really) of the time my niece got a jellybean selection box (yeah I know) and as she sat sampling all the different flavours said to me, 'here, try this one' and after I popped it in my mouth went 'Rotten ain't it?'
It f#cking was. Buttered popcorn flavour I think it was. Vile.
Interesting stuff though, to be fair. Your post. Not mine. I'm just filling the day.

Oh well. Less innuendo than Rolf Harris' 'Two little boys'.
