Hey there, i put in a 'gravity' shower when doing up the bathroom a couple of years ago. The temp control 'knob' has been giving touble and now has stopped working, it's either freezing or boiling. Got a plumber friend to look at it, he opened up the pipes and they weren't blocked and he reckons the internal part shower is broke inside, said would be just aswell to get another, what do ye think?

Of course the place we bought it has gone to the wall

    Cheers

If you dont know what make the shower is you probably wont get a replacement thermostatic cartridge to suit , to replace the shower would be really easy and would not involve doing any damage as the tail pieces which come out of the wall are universal center measurements , i think its 150mm so your new valve will simply screw on.

Yea they're 6 inches apart so leaves things easier. Prob too much hassle trying to replace it. Any idea how much a new one would be, just the shower without the head etc?
