    Hi all,

I took and completed the theory test 6 years ago when I got my first provisional licence. It was too expensive to get insurance though so I never started to drive. I'm going to learn now though so need to get mys econd provisonal licence. Will I need to take the theory test again before I get my new licence? I can't find the answer on the theory test website.

    Cheers

The dates are important here. If your learner permit expired four years ago you are simply renewing it. So no need to do a theory test. If it expired more then five years ago you would need to start from scratch.
