Merlin bike auction - Feb. 4th

I note that there is a no-reserve bike auction in Merlins on Feb. 4th selling bikes recovered by the Garda. Anyone had any experience of these auctions and what to expect. Looking to get a half-decent replacement, but not too…

I note that there is a no-reserve bike auction in Merlins on Feb. 4th selling bikes recovered by the Garda.

Anyone had any experience of these auctions and what to expect.

Looking to get a half-decent replacement, but not too flashy for obvious reasons. My bike is a Trek 7.3 FX hybrid.

Hi, went a few years ago. Loads of generic "mountain bike " type stuff, mostly almost new, mostly rubbish. Anything with a half respectable name was either (1) worn out components or (2) bid to over its worth. BUT still worth a look!
