    Hi all.

I'm not looking for medical advice just looking to learn how to deal with anxiety. Over the last few months it started i think mainly due to some stressfull things that happened. I haven't gone to the doctor about it but maybe i should.

I feel its stopping me from doing things because i work myself up about things and then my stomach goes and i tend to pull out of things because of it. I never used to be like this, i dread most things now like simple things like going into town which would never worry me before and i don't know why.

How do i deal with it? Can it be managed?

    Thanks

See a doctor, exercise. Maybe seek counselling for whatever it is that happened to you if it's causing you so much grief.

    Hi OP,

The same thing happens to me at times when I'm stressed, I work myself up about things nearly to the point that I'm in tears. It's a terrible feeling and alot of people can relate as I've spoken to friends about this too. You should definitely do some exercise every day as it really helps to relax the mind and try to get enough sleep. I find that before I go to bed if I try and clear my mind and do deep breathing I can sleep better and then the anxious feeling isn't as bad the next day. I also find that little things can seem way more important and you almost feel like you are going crazy. I also go through phases of this and it passes when the stress eases. You should try to see what are the things that are causing you stress and see can you eliminate any of them. I'm only going on my own experience and I have found that exercise helps to clear your head, plenty of sleep and keep a record of the stressful things in your life and see if you might be able to reduce them.

I hope it passes soon for you.
