Hi, i have been living with my daughter and claiming jobseekers allowance the last 7 months. my daughters father would take her on weekends and send her home with nappies, clothes, etc. Over christmas my daughter who is 7 months old was admitted to hospital with meningitis b. She has been left with severe brain damage. Sorry for being blunt but i am trying to get the right answers. My daughters father and i will now have to care for her 24/7 together as her disabilities are going to be many. He has also just been made redundant from work. If we were to move in together to help each other with our daughters care, what payment should we be entitled to? (ie carers allowance/benefit,etc). I am trying to clear this up as i don't want to appear dishonest. If we are both caring for our daughter and unavailable for work due to this fact can anyone tell me what payment we should be on?
