Sash Window Problem

I've a problem with my sash windows (pvc) - I had them installed 10 years ago, and had the company who supplied them in 2 years ago to repair a few where the springs had failed and the bottom sash would not stay in position when lifted.
I'd used a Dublin company who made their name supplying Sash Windows - good idea at the time!

A lot of the others now have the same problem and the company, based in Dublin, assured me that they'd be down my way in a couple of weeks ............. and never did. No phones answered for a few weeks, and I was in Dublin last week and called across to their address to find that they appear to have abandoned ship and locked up -- no-one has seem the owner since before Christmas
    git!!!

I really need someone to repair the windows, but cannot find anyone ............. does anyone have a similar experience or know a person / company who they'd recommend in this area?

    Hi
\\\\\\\\\i know that problem. those springs should never be used in that purpose because they are cracking inside and stop working and when you try open them mind your eyes . if it happens you have to replace them. Personally i cant help you because I live in cork, but job is not very difficult and any carpenter can do it.
Just take off sliding sash and unscrew springs measure them and order from company(any wooden windows manufacturers might have them)
If you still need them and cant find in Dublin let me know and i will find them in cork
