Anyone no what the plane circling over Galway city at around 2pm yesterday was at? Im nearly sure it was the Air Corps C172. Spent over half hour going over the city, so was just interested to see what it was up to. Cheers:D

I heard it but didn't bother to look up, but I know the engine sound, it was one of the Air Corps Cessnas. They are regular visitors to Galway usually on Mondays as it happens. Never quite figured out why they circle. I'm sure there's a good reason. I remember passing a couple of the pilots on the ramp at Galway airport, gave them a wave but completely forgot to ask why the circle the town. But then again they might tell me but have to shoot me afterwards!

I didn't realise there was air support for Cash in Transit runs. I thought it was just the Army and the Gardai who came out. I hope the CIT companies are paying the state for this protection?

The CIT companies pay the state, then invoice the banks who are bankrolled by the state.:(
