    here i am again with questions :D ive to replace a bb for a guy, he had a GXP one on his bike but im putting an ultegra hollowtech 2 one into it now, this is the bb il be putting into it, as long as i get the english thread will it fit into the bike? crc doesnt seem to have any different sizes so im presuming its all pretty much the same,

    any help with this would be great guys

    holyboy your a legend :D just out of interest as well, i know you can face and ream alu bikes whats the story with carbon? as far as i know you cant do either with it

    you should be able to clean up the face and thread in a carbon frame also! it will have a aluminium shell in the frame same as and aluminium bike.

    if the thread is not damaged just use an old toothbrush and wd40 to clean up the thread.

    What byebye said.....it will be an alu shell, it should really be faced in the factory but if you have the tools no harm in giving it a little facing, I wouldn't trust those pesky manufacturers, can't even get drop outs aligned let alone face a BB shell properly!
    If you don't have the tools yet, just hit stuff with a hammer a lot, I'm sure that will work:D
