Have you tried contacting the red cross and the st john's ambulance, who might have something locally?

    otherwise, google is your friend.

    good luck :D

its hard to find a general first aid course like what to do when you come on the scene of an accident and so on, most of the courses are occupational but ill keep googling

A Heartstart course would be a good place to begin. They cover CPR, the use of a defibrillator and choking. These are the real game changers in terms of first aid. they're cheaper than occupational courses, but are less comprehensive. It's also worth noting that occupational courses aren't particularly aimed at workplace accidents. They just cover normal first aid. They got the occupational tag because they're the accepted standard for workplace first aiders. But the occupational course is very suitable for someone who just wants to learn first aid for any reason.

The best place to find information on courses covering Ireland is probably http://www.qualifax.ie as they do have a number of different organisations that feed their course information into it. The site and the search function isn't particularly friendly, but if you play around with it you'll find what's available.

There's one starting in Beech Hill at the end of the month, you've missed the enrolment but if you contact them you may still get onto it:
