I want to set up a web page with my personal name as the domain name, I do not want to use it for any business purposes, it is purely for personal use, i.e. uploading photos, etc.......can anyone advise me on the steps involved, I know I will have to register and purchase the intended name but then there is the web hosting costs, and what about email addresses, once you have a www.joeblogs.ie how easy is it to have joe@joeblogs.ie as an address............thanking everyone in advance

    Regards

    RH

First off, you can't ask for hosting reccomendations on Boards, but this post has suggestions. You will generally get email hosting in combination with your web hosting, how much this will cost will obviously depend on the webhost you want to choose, shop around but bear in mind irish hosted sites will usually load faster for Irish visitors.
You can use something like Wordpress, Joomla or even a dedicated gallery application like Coppermine for a photos gallery, or do a simple html page with picassa/flickr etc. album embedded.
