    I have recently bought hedsets and mics for a set of computers where I work. Unfortunately they don't sem to work on the computers. The sounds works but when I attempt to voice record and replay it there is no sound.

    Does anyone know why this would be?

    Settings??

    I also noticed that there is green and pink input areas on the front and the back of the computers? Would this make a difference??

    I am CLUELESS.

    All help would be greatly apprectiated.

    Thanks

    Green=Sound Out (Speakers)
    Pink=Sound in (Mic)

    You'll need to make sure the drivers on the machine are up to date, also that your recording devices are configured properly. Right click on the volue control icon>Recording devices to configure your devices!

    by any chance are your soundcards realtek soundchips that are integrated into the motheboard?

    Does any other speakers work? Your sound card may have been disabled in the bios, so this is something to look into if not

    Can you do a screenshot of the Playback and Recording devices windows? And upload them as an attachment to a post here?

    Okay I can't manage to upload a screenshot for some reason, but they are REALTEK.

    Realtek HD Front Green Jack/ Realtek HD Front Pink Jack is what appears on the properties.

    Have you tried them in both the front and the back. The front one's may not be connected.

    Progress! :) I can now hear things but still can't record. I clicked on sounds effects on the bottom right and change the line input to front panel butstill can't record.
