Anyone know if you have to be in elite or not to get the new DLC today??? I kind of want the new maps but not shellin out 45 quid for an elite subscription?

I know ya cud always just buy points anyone have any luck with this today?

Yes, they were out today, piazza and another one I can't remember the name.

Piazza looks lovely, I feel I wanna go on holidays when I play on that map but its a bit annoying, expect loads of campers of course.

The other one reminds me of that map in COD for in a forest with some caves. Full of people sniping and camping again... not sure they are worth it

Yeah have to say this is the first COD that I'm not hooked on thats why I skipped paying for COD Elite. Do I need COD elite to get the new maps or can I get it with MS Points?

I think that the only way to get them is by buying the elite sub. You wont be able to download it off the marketplace, you can only do it through Elite

according to dlc non eite members will get the maps in the market place in march, just downloading mine now, got the points cheap from ebay 32 euro

Ah I just cant justify gettin elite like! Have played more Skyrim than COD since they were released.

Both maps suck mega balls.

I've just downloaded them about an hour ago. Liberation feels like a wide open BLOPS map something along the lines of Silo. Piazza is so poor graphic wise...the tree's are 2D, the lighting, the birds...nothing "feels real". You can't even go down to the beach, and die when you jump over a metre high wall. Honestly, they shouldn't even be attempting outdoor maps like this with the amount of time they're willing to put in and invest. Is it just me or are the maps getting worse? It's as it they've given up altogether because the money hasn't slowed down....

In all, move along - nothing to see here folks...

So.. two maps and no new content (i.e. guns etc). Very disappointed re the latter..

Verdict on the maps - the park one seems very playable if you're a decent sniper. Reminded me of the map in the BF beta.

Plaza - well, I like the fact that you can go for a jog around the outside of the entire playing area, its quite scenic It seemed ok to me tbh, reminded me of a map in CoD 4 - the one with the tanks in the middle?

Not terrible maps imo - initial level of campness expected for new maps while people find their feet.

A month after non premium xbox users get them, so march some time I wouldn't be too worried when they are out cause they aren't worth it.

take into consideration that the game mode, Infected as well as others will be put up for the public lobbies as opposed to private only as there you have a few more pieces of DLC out of the 20 they promises.

That should have come as standard - this is pathetic at this stage.

I consigned myself to never buying another CoD game after realising I'd bought a €50 skin for MW2 this year.

It's an extremely successful enterprise, but they're absolute crooks. You end up buying DLC because the rest of the game has gotten so boring and monotonous that you've either the choice of putting it back in the box and never playing it again, or buying their crappy DLC and getting a few more hours out of it.

I dont mind Piazza too much but I rather have my testi$$$les bitten by an epileptic beaver before playing liberation again. Everyone is hiding between the bushes is just ridiculous. I switched to the normal search and destroy playlist just so I wont have to play that map again.

I actually preferred getting 4/5 maps to play around with ever 3 months (especially with a brand new exclusive Zombie map) - it was something to look forward to. Now they're giving us 1 map or even a new game mode {that should have come as standard in the first place} every two months - how does this pass for DLC?

I really hope Treyarch sort this out in November - IW need a rocket up their arse. This whole Elite business is just Activision testing the waters to propose a new pay to play system - it's coming, we all knew it would.
