I am renting a property and the person now wants to buy it. Is there any way of avoiding CGT? I am talking legitimate ways not under the counter payments. A mortgage also has a lien on the premises and they will want there cut.

Property treads aint allowed in this forum

My advice is seek professional advice from a accountant or tax consultant as its money well spent

This is not about property it is about CGT and yes I have had "professional" advice from accountants. They seem to want you to pay up and that's it. I was wondering if there are ways around this as I thought someone might have had a similar problem.

Did you have a read of the Charter?

As far as I'm aware, you won't find a thread or Forum on Boards that will instruct you on how to avoid paying tax that would be due.

Everbody seeks ways to legally pay less tax. Who doesn't keep receipts to set off against tax? There are a host of things that are tax deductible. And yes I read the charter. I'll keep looking for advice but elsewhere.

As already mentioned property threads are not permitted under the forum charter.

    Thread closed.
