Need some advice please. Have Eircom Phonewatch wireless alarm system and need to move the control panel and add a new wireless sensor. Question is do I need Eircom to do it or can any reputable alarm company do this work?

Also, what are best options for monitoring the system? Do I need Eircom to monitor it or can other companies do the monitoring or can it be self monitored via text/dialler?

    Any advice appreciated.

Any licensed company can carry out this work for you.

What wire free system have you installed?

    Thanks Koolkid,

Altor, Its a Simon system if that makes sense! Are GSM diallers any use with this system?

It is a 24 zone system so 24 devices can be added if you need up to that many.
There voice dialer built into this system can ring one phone number through your land line or GSM, it will give a zone description of any alarm events as the names are programmed into the system.

One more query. Any ballpark costs for moving the control panel and installing an extra wireless point?

Hard to say without seeing what needs to be done. About €100 in most cases. Wire free sensors off this system would cost €75 installed.
