Photo scanning service

FYI, just been looking into Irish-based photo-scanning services and came across something that seemed too good to be true: A company that offers to scan all your old photos to digital form for free and host them indefinitely so that you can view them online: http://www.pictureperfect.ie

The catch, obviously there had to be one, is that all the online photos are watermarked as part of the free service and the mark is only removed upon payment. Now in all fairness, the cost is quite reasonable. What worries me though is that there's no mention of the original photos getting returned to the owner once they are scanned.

So just a heads up for folk out there who might know folk looking into getting their photos scanned...

    that's a print-only scanning service, unfortunately.
