    Hi Guys,
Charity cycle down for March 30.
80km in the morning, 50km in the evening...

I wouldnt have cycled much at all before but have done lots of 10k stuff, and train full time with as a sprinter/rugby player

Any advice on where to start to train for something like this?
    Thanks!

Gat a pair of Padded Shorts! :D
Get out on the bike as often as you can and build up the distance.

If you still have knobbly mountain bike tyres on the bike you're currently using, change them for a set of commuter tyres. You won't be half as knackered with them. They're about EUR20 in your local bike shop.

Then proceed with padded shorts and plenty of mileage :)

Training to cycle a distance like this is all about aerobic fitness so when out on the bike establish a high cadence or number of revolutions of the crank per minute. This way you build up your endurance and its easier to maintain this over a long distance. Try not to push high gears which only end up damaging your knees.
