Hi, Myself and my partner moved into a lovely 3 bed apt in dublin last august and the only heating in it is STORAGE HEATING :-( since we have monved in we have paid 801 euro on esb...... when we moved in we changed out all the lighting to energy saving bulbs and took all the measures to ensure no high bills but we cant get around the fact of the expensive storage heating costs

Is the landlord legally allowed to rent a place that is so inefficient? we cant afford the heat so we have to turn it off so therefore the apt is being rented with no heat.... cant be legal either.

we dont know what to do as we have a contract up until next augusts. please someone help us try and save money or advice in what we can do

    Thanks very much
