HI, i need from my STB which is a CISCO 8586 HD DVR, progressive output signal, especially 1080p. It is not specified, do you happen to know?

Upc hd boxes do up to 1080i only. Same as sky. hd channels are only broadcast up to 1080i as far as i know. Only games consoles, pcs and bluray players do 1080p from my experience. If you need a progressive output then your only option is to set the box to 720p. It'd be the same with a sky box as well. It takes to much bandwidth with to little an improvement in picture quality to make broadcast 1080p worthwhile.
Just to let ya know I've a 1080p tv and have my box set to 1080i. It gives me a slight visual improvement over 720p setting but barely noticeable on a 42inch.
    hope this helps ya.

Indeed i have to the STB "HDMI resolution" and just 1080i not p, forgot.
Finally the signal should be progressive to be displayed on the TV panel, they panels - the last component in a TV - accept only progressive as i know. So either TV or the STB should do the deinterlacing to 25fps full frame. The TV - in fact monitor - which i want to buy now, can't deinterlace, it wants the signal already done, that is my problem. This one if you want to know http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/review/2011/review-asus-pa246q.html#Introduction
