Economics Course

    Hi,my son will start an economics course in UL in Sept.He has just finished a course and is at a loose end till Sept,could any of you recommend a course or courses economics related that might give him a head start,and that he can do between now and the end of August.

    How is his maths?

    If he hasn't done higher level mathematics, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on calculus if he doesn't feel up to par.

    There's nothing that stands out that your son could do otherwise apart from familiarise himself with topical events in economics, which might make some of his course material in 2012 seem more fresh and appealing.

    I don't know of any formal, short courses. Maybe some books from the economics resources thread in the economics section
