id say anywhere from 55 to 80 per tyre depending on avail and where you go

I would not pay that money for a brand I never heard of. For around €80 a corner you will get a known mid range tyre fitted in that size.

2 of these delivered for €123, allow around €30-40 for fitting and balancing:

I'll be Honest I never heard of them.

How about a pair of Kumo's?

Or as bazz said, pay a few quid extra for quality?

    I'd say they're kormorans

If so they're not the worst, made in poland by the company who makes michelin IIRC.

That's like justifying a Fiat on the basis that they own Ferrari.
    Ridiculous logic.

    Right. Great feedback.

It was more to illustrate that they're not the usual Chinese shoite

Thamks all for your input, appreciated.

Paid €200 for 2 fitted, thinks it was a little dear!

    Dean.

Just because you never heard of it doesn't make it bad either. There would seem to be as many tyre brands as womens hair shampoo going if not a hell of a lot more. Some of the lesser known brands (although not all) are top notch tyres too you know.:)

Sorry to say but this price is ridiculously expensive for these tyres.

look at prices of premium brands here for your size fitted :

What I was implying was that I would not pay €80 a corner for a brand I never heard of in the size the OP was looking for. €80 a corner in 205/55/r16 is edging on premium brands.

Kormorans are Michelins budget tyres. €200 (€150 to €160 would be about right) is steep for them you would have got 2 bridgestones for that but none the less they aren't cheap Chinese crap. They have a decent level of grip but very soft sidewalls so be careful near kerbs etc

I paid 75 a corner for the exact same tyre. There fine and I've no complaints about them. Sitting on an xantia

Are you sure you wanted "N" speed index?
    That's only up to 140km/h.
These Kormorans normally come with H speed index AFAIK (up to 210km/h).

But kormorans might be better than mid range tyre ;)

They are for €75 on eiretyres.
    Probably camskill comes cheaper then.

Little off topic, but I get my stuff off a mate wholesale, usually 50 plus vat per tyre, only problem is, he doesn't fit them.

    so I went to a local garage and walked up to the first guy there and said;

I tried to change the tyres but I can't get them off, I let them down and everything, I tried to use a spoon like with a bike wheel, but it bent..

Guy looks at me confused an says ah ya need a machine to do them.

Boom! Got them all changed and balanced for free... And he checked the tracking for me :)

Note: a month previous to that day, the guy tried to tell me it takes 3 hours to change a bulb.. He was asking for it..

And yep I'm a woman, who they assumed was stupid so I used it to my advantage and had four tyres fitted and balanced for free! :D
