Thats mad. Is it possible that the pump is in poor condition and is making alot more noise than it should make?

A quick fix would be to put a plugtop/socket arrangement on it and put it on a timer to come on at 7am or whatever time you get up and to turn off again at 10pm or whatever time you go to bed.

It will not solve the problem with the pump but it will allow you to sleep.

    Mike.

you must have a leak on your plumbing system. It could be a tap passing water or wc overfowing. The pump should only come on when domestic water (hot or cold) is required or could be a problem with the pressure switch. As I said when water is not been used either is the pump.
