I presume you're talking about the shower?

In which case, sure you wouldn't be using the cold water in the shower anyway so it is most likely time efficient more than anything.

Well if you are going to wait until the hot water reaches the tap anyway, then your saving time.

But if sitting on the toilet takes longer than expected, then you will waste hot water unless you time it properly.

You use the shower on every visit to the toilet?

Depends, turning on the shower, heating time is usually just enough time to strip.

Filling the sink or bath, use the stopper to collect the cold water, then it turns hot and the cold water should be sufficient (sink only) to stop it being scalding hot.

Or you could get an anti scald valve which will give just the correct temperature, once you have a hot water return.

when you stand up to wipe your hole turn the tap on, proceed to wipe and then it should be nicely warm for you when you are ready to use it.

It's probably a waste of water but then again so is standing to one side in the shower cubicle waiting for it to heat up.

Quite efficient from a time usage perspective though.

Normally you would wipe it after you finished using it though.

I did the OP's scenario once then I stood up and flushed the toilet so I was another 3 minutes waiting to get in the shower.:(
